Liverpool Home Shirt 2012/13
This is the new Liverpool shirt from Warrior Sports. Unlike recent home shirts, it will only be worn for one season rather than two. The main features are the double fold collar, the number 96 with eternal flames for Hillsborough and the removal of the Liverpool crest in favour of the old style yellow Liverbird. There are also no white features on the shirt itself which is something we haven't seen in many years. The shirt feels like cotton for the most part, but the arms and collar are in standard football shirt material. Overall it's a really nice offering from Warrior, and my only Warrior shirt so far. Out of the three shirts they have produced this season, I like this one best, and although not many people are fans of the other two offerings from Warrior, I do actually like both the away shirt and third shirt so hopefully I can get them some time. This is a large ladies size which is approx a size 14 and I opted to get Luis Suarez on it. I originally wanted Carroll but with all the uncertainty surrounding his future I didn't want to risk spending £50+ for his shirt. I chose the Premier League printing rather than Liverpool's own because I think Liverpool's own is too in your face for this simple shirt. It looked nice with Adidas shirts but it looks tacky on Warrior shirts in my opinion and has a tendency to peel due to its pointed edges. I was hoping the print would be lextra but it's just vinyl unfortunately. As usual I opted against Premier League patches, I just don't think they look right on it.
